BSPP British Pipe Parallel
A standard parallel threaded connection (threads to BS 2779) sealing on a metal to metal coned connection to BS 5200, where the male half incorporates a male thread c/w 60° internal cone face and the female incorporates the mating 60° external cone which engages onto the male connection and is secured via a female threaded swivel nut.
This fitting is available in a straight or elbow configuration. It has an advantage over the NPT or BSPT fitting as the hose does not have to be rotated on assembly.
